Native American artist Kevin Fast Horse, Sr. hand beads the sheath with hand cut glass Italian beads, he likes to use the same beads his ancestors traded for.
Kevin uses commercially tanned deer leather that has been dyed a rich brown color. The brown leather sets off the color green that Kevin uses for the background of the beadwork. He adds a deer antler handle knife with a cold forged iron blade, the knife measures 12 inches long. Kevin finishes the decoration of this knife set with long leather fringe that measures 8 1/2 inches long and leather dangles that feature glass beads and solid brass beads. Kevin has also added a belt loop so the set can be carried easily. The piece is signed by the artist.
