Description
Created by non-Native American artist Dan Chapman, this rustic breastplate features leather strips from an old horse harness surrounded by 3 1/2 and 1 inch bone hair pipe, yellow glass beads, and brass beads.
Each row of bone hair pipe is stretched across the breastplate and tied off on the outside with an accent of deer leather fringe. The center strip of the plate features three pink melon shell conchos accented with strips of linen. The top concho has additional accents of spent brass casings and Indian Head copper pennies. The neckties are finished with brass and glass beads. An aging compound has been applied to the piece to give it an antique look. Non-Native American made.
