In Patty Eckman’s limited edition cast paper sculpture, “Eggwatchers,” a hummingbird is perched on its nest, standing guard over the small eggs nestled within.

Working in the medium of cast paper sculpting since 1987, Patty Eckman and her husband Allen Eckman developed their own recipe of archival paper and their own process of sculpting with that paper. Their unique style of sculpting demonstrates their patience and the importance of capturing every detail in the pieces they create.
