Original Ledger Art: Two Blue Horses
Donald F. Montileaux is a Lakota ledger artist. His colored pencil and ink drawing of two men in front of their tipis was drawn on antique ledger paper dated 1897. The title, "Two Blue Horses," comes from the small horses on the tipi in the center of the image.
The finished piece was then custom framed with conservation mats and glass.
