Original Ledger Art: Lakota Wicasa
$1,350.00
Joe Pulliam is a Lakota ledger artist enrolled in the Oglala Sioux Tribe. In his painting, "Lakota Wicasa," meaning, "Lakota Man," Joe has used antique ledger paper from the year 1900 as his surface. Having painted the image of the Lakota man on horseback with watercolor paint, it allows most of the original writing on the paper to still be not only visible, but legible. The painting has been custom framed with conservation materials.
