Native American artist Jared Lanz, Oglala Lakota Nation, uses the classic Kapemni design, this design teaches us that what is above is below.

Jared uses a beautiful piece of soft leather for the body of the bag, he adds the quilled slats and long leather fringe at the bottom of the bag. He does the beadwork onto the leather, both sides of the bag and he finishes the seam and top of the bag with the loop stitch.
