Native American Shield: Four Hunters

What a beautiful image Native American artist Thomas Ridley, Ute Mountain Ute Nation of Colorado, has painted on this shield cover. He captures the birds hunting together, the excitement of cooperation and full bellies.

Thomas uses acrylic paint on leather. He embellishes the shield with wool cloth, leather strips, imitation feathers and metal beads. The piece is signed by the artist.
