Native American Painted & Decorated Buffalo Skull Forehead: Crazy Thunder
Native American artist Thomas Ridley, Ute Mountain Ute Nation of Colorado, hand paints and decorates a buffalo forehead. He has left the horns in their natural state without the horn covers.
Thomas paints the entire skull with acrylic paint, each membrane of the horn is painted as well. He ties yellow wool trade cloth to the base of each horn and secures the cloth with a leather tie that features a feather.
Thomas finalizes the decoration of the piece with a large tuft of buffalo hair at the top of the forehead.
