View Full Product Info

Native American artist Mike McLeod, Bad River Band Chippewa, creates a tribute to the Universe. The Plains Indians looked to the stars to guide them across the continent, a natural time marker for spiritual events and some cultures teach that the stars are the campfires of our ancestors who are waiting for us to join them.

Mike uses a commercially processed buffalo skull that is ready to hang. He paints the skull with acrylic paints and covers the base of each horn with wool cloth and glass beads, he left the horn covers natural. He finishes the decoration of this piece with wrapped imitation eagle feathers, large metal bells and metal cones.
