Native American Made Men’s Bone Hair Pipe Breastplate w Aged Beads & Bells
Native American artist Thomas Ridley, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe of Colorado, creates this classic style of men’s breastplate. Thomas strings bone through strips of tooling leather to help keep the shape of the breastplate.
Thomas finishes the end of each bone with soft leather fringe. He loops aged metal beads and bells at the bottom and aged metal beads at the top. He finishes the center with a large abalone shell with cloth and leather dangle.
The actual bone hair pipe area measures 11 inches wide by 16 1/2 inches tall.
