Oglala Lakota quilter Faye Charging Thunder creates this particular full size star quilt using both hand and machine techniques.  She creates the design with black, purple, gray and white cotton fabric.  The quilt can be machine washed, but dry cleaning is still recommended to keep the colors from fading.
