Created by Caroline Ravenshead, Oglala Lakota Nation, she uses a porcelain doll body and dresses it with a beautiful quilled dress with moccasins, leggings, wrist bag and more.

Caroline believes quillwork is one of the easiest mediums to work with, she’s been doing this type of art for years and was lucky enough to learn from a master. She uses dyed porcupine quills on brain tanned/hand scraped deer hide.

Caroline completes this doll with a long lance (23 inches long) that features scalp locks made from buffalo hair, long earrings made from glass beads and abalone pieces, and a belt with mini conchos for decoration.
