Native American Hand Painted Shield: Star Nation
Native American artist Bradley Long Soldier, Oglala Lakota Nation, hand paints this shield to honor the Star Nation, above us they keep watch and await for our arrival.
Bradley uses a rawhide disc and paints it with acrylic. He decorates the shield with blue wool cloth and leather dangles with metal beads. He finishes the piece with imitation eagle feathers that are wrapped with red wool cloth and leather.

Length is measured from the top of the shield to the bottom of the hanging feathers.
