Native American artist Jim Little Wounded, Mnicoujou Lakota Nation, paints this carved Horse Dance Stick from wood and then paints the images of Plenty Buffalo.

Jim uses wood for the body of the horse, he stains and paints the entire surface. He adds a spray of feathers behind the head, real horse hair for the mane, forelock and tail and completes the decoration of the piece with glass bead wrapped imitation eagle feathers.

The piece is signed by the artist.
