Native American artist Jim Little Wounded, Mnicoujou Lakota Nation, paints this wood carved Horse Dance Stick with images of Bear Warrior’s returning home. The legs of this dance stick are carved apart, it gives the dance stick the appearance of 4 legs.

Jim paints the entire carved stick with acrylic paints. He adorns the stick with real horse hair for the mane, forelock and tail. He adds two wrapped imitation eagle feathers to the front legs and the back legs and a small spray of feathers right behind the ears.

Jim finishes the decoration of this piece with a hand beaded bear amulet. The piece is signed by the artist.
