Native American Hand Painted Deer Leather Shirt: Ghost Dance
Hand painted by Native American artist Mike McLeod, Bad River Band Chippewa, the shirt is reminiscent of the style worn during the Ghost Dance era.
Mike cuts the shirt from commercially tanned deer hides, he cuts long fringe for the sleeves, sides of the shirt and the bibs. The only beadwork is on the imitation feathers. He finishes the shirt with blue wool cloth around the head opening. From the shoulder to the end of the sleeve, 32 inches long.
