Native American Hand Painted Deer Leather: Mini Tipi Wrap
Native American artist Jim Little Wounded, Mnicoujou Lakota Nation, hand paints this mini tipi cover with the images of a celebration.
Jim uses commercially tanned deer hides, he then cuts and sews them into the shape of a tipi cover. He paints the hides with acrylic paints and finishes the piece with buffalo hair tassels, a quilled dangle with buffalo hair and leather ties.
