Sicangu Lakota Nation member Evans Flammond Sr. hand paints this commercially tanned deer hide with the image of a dancer with shield.
Evans uses acrylic paints to further fill in the hide with a skull with feathers, the sun and a soaring eagle. Evans hangs the painted hide from a decorated hanger that features glass and metal beads on leather ties.
