Created by Native American artist Mike McLeod, Bad River Band Chippewa, he hand paints a large bull buffalo skull with acrylic paint. The colors represent the many men and women who served during the Vietnam War.

Mike adds glass beaded bands around the eyes and at the base of each horn. He uses red wool cloth and adds two decorated imitation eagle feathers. The horn covers are left rough and natural.
