Native American Hand Painted Buffalo Robe: Crow Battle and Parade
Native American artist Mike McLeod, Bad River Band Chippewa, hand painted this large buffalo robe with the images of a battle and then the victory parade afterwards.
Mike starts with a commercially tanned buffalo robe with hair on, he paints the robe with acrylic paints. Mike decorates the robe with three small shields depicting birds. He added four abalone shells with leather dangles and hangs imitation feathers.
The piece is signed by the artist.
