Native American Hand Painted Buffalo Bull Skull: Flag Design
Native American artist Mike McLeod, Bad River Band Chippewa, hand paints this very large bull buffalo skull with the image of the U.S. flag. U.S. flags were often gifted to tribes as a sign of peace.
Mike uses a commercially processed and cleaned buffalo skull. He leaves the horn covers unpolished. The skull is painted with acrylic paint.
Mike finishes the decoration of this piece with red and blue wool cloth strips, metal bells, metal beads, and glass bead wrapped imitation eagle feathers.
Length 27 | Width 26 | Deep 12 inches
