Native American Hand Made War Shirt w Dream Catchers
Native American artist Mike McLeod (Bad River Band Chippewa/Lakota) creates a war shirt, war is a serious endeavor and the clothing worn was prepared with care.
Mike uses commercially tanned deer hides. He stains the shirt with ochre and adds imagery of lightning. The shirt features imitation owl feathers, imitation eagle body feathers, horse hair locks, red wool cloth, metal spots and hand made dream catchers. He finishes the shirt with long leather fringe.
