Native American Hand Made Shield: Buffalo Dreamer
Native American artist Thomas Ridley, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe of Colorado, hand paints this rawhide shield with the image of a Buffalo Dreamer.
Thomas uses commercially tanned deer rawhide, he paints the rawhide with acrylic paints. Thomas finishes the piece with a cluster of feathers, red wool cloth and metal bells.
The piece is signed by the artist.
