Native American artist Jim Little Wounded, Minnecounjou Lakota, paints the excitement of returning warrior’s who are honored by the women of their tribe, the women pay tribute to brave deeds and victory.

Jim carves the horse image from wood, he paints and stains the entire stick with ink and acrylic paint. Jim adds real horse hair for the forelock, mane and tail. He finishes the decoration of this piece with imitation eagle and hawk feathers, metal bells and glass beads. Jim added a beaded buffalo amulet.

The piece is signed by the artist.
