Native American Hand Made Horse Dance Stick: Almost Home
Native American artist Jim Little Wounded, Minicoujou Lakota, carves the image of a horse and then paints the images of the long journey home.
Jim carves the dance stick from wood and then paints the entire stick with acrylic paints. He adds real horse hair for the tail, mane and forelock. He adds wool cloth wrapped imitation eagle feathers.
Jim completes the decoration of this piece with a glass beaded horse mask and large metal bells.

The horse hair hangs down an additional 13 inches.
