Native American Hand Made Glass Beaded Sheath w Knife & Beaded Bag w Aged Bells
Native American artist Thomas Ridley, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe of Colorado, creates this lovely set that served a dual purpose, a bag for carrying everything you needed to start a fire and a knife set to help dig for herbs and other much needed medicines.
Thomas uses commercially tanned deer hide to make the bag and sheath. He paints both and then decorates with glass beads. He finishes the knife sheath with colored fringe and the bag is finished with aged bells.
Sold as a set, the bag measures 4 1/4 inches by 6 inches with a long handle and the sheath measures (with knife in) 11 inches long by 2 1/4 wide, the fringe is 4 inches long.
