Native American Hand Made Beaded Purse: Butterfly w Blue Background
Native American artist Kevin D. Fast Horse Sr., Oglala Lakota Nation, hand beads this lovely purse with hand cut glass Italian beads, he choose a blue color for the background. He has a geometric pattern on the main body of the purse and a butterfly on the flap of the purse. Kevin has named this purse Kimimila (the Lakota word for Butterfly).
The actual bag measures 13 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches wide. Kevin adds a shoulder strap that features beadwork, abalone shells with leather dangles, glass and metal beads. The flap has leather dangles that feature glass and metal beads and tiny bells on each corner. He finishes the bag by adding long fringe to the bottom.
