Native American Hand Beaded Woman’s Round Bag w Beaded Handle
Native American beadwork artist Emilie Ravenshead, Oglala Lakota Nation, hand beads this beautiful little bag with hand cut glass Italian beads. Emilie loves to bead unlike her twin who only likes to do quillwork.
Emilie uses smoked, tanned deer hide for the body of the bag. She applies her beadwork right to the leather and then wraps the handle with more glass beads. The bag hangs about 3 1/2 inches from the top of the handle.
She completes the decoration of the bag with silk ribbons and brass thimbles.
Length 17 | Width 9 | Deep .25 inches
Length is measured from the top of the bag to the bottom of the fringe.
