Native American Hand Beaded Purse w Zipper Closure: Periwinkle
Beadwork maven Brenda DuBray, Oglala Lakota Nation, choose periwinkle as the background color. This particular color can be described as both blue or purple.
Brenda makes the shoulder strap long and decorates it with glass beads to match the front panel of the purse. She adds long leather fringe to the bottom of the bag, she adds more long fringe strips to the side with metal cones. The zipper closure is decorated with a hand beaded fab. The actual bag measures 11 1/2 inches wide by 9 inches tall. The inside of the purse is lined.
