Description
Oglala Lakota Nation member Brenda DuBray uses her skills with glass beads to create this lovely cradleboard using a grape colored bead paired with white, it’s a comforting color combination.
Brenda hand beads the entire body of the cradle with glass beads. She attaches her beadwork to commercially tanned deer leather and then secures the beaded cradle to a wooden board back.
Brenda decorates the boards with brass tacks and a single beaded turtle amulet. She finishes the cradle with large metal bells, long fringe, metal cones and metal beads, and a tiny pair of beaded moccasins.
