Native American Hand Beaded Cradleboard: Buffalo Hunt
Oglala Lakota Nation member Brenda DuBray uses her skills with glass beads to create this exciting piece that depicts a Buffalo Hunt.
Brenda uses glass beads on commercially tanned deer leather. She attaches her beadwork to a Woden board that is decorated with metal tacks, a glass beaded turtle amulet and a glass beaded lizard amulet.
She finishes the piece with a pair of baby moccasins, large metal bells and metal cones with dyed horse hair.
Length 42 | Width 11 | Deep 12 inches. The fringe hangs an extra 11 inches.
