Native American Hand Beaded Cradleboard: All the Horses
Native American artist Brenda DuBray, Oglala Lakota, hand beads this beautiful cradleboard with glass beads on commercially tanned leather. Her imagery of a herd of horses on the turquoise blue background is a real eye catcher.
Brenda does all the beadwork and then attaches it to deer leather, she attaches all of this to a wooden backboard. She decorates the backboard with a beaded lizard and turtle amulet, a pair of mini moccasins, long leather fringe with metal cones and colored horse hair tufts with metal cones.
The piece is signed by the artist.
