Native American Carved White Buffalo Dance Stick w Buffalo Amulet
Native American artist Jim Little Wounded, Minneconjou Lakota, carves this dance stick from wood in the shape of a buffalo. He adds horns and a buffalo hair beard.
Jim stains and paints the buffalo with stain and acrylic paints. The imagery of buffalo hunters and buffalo are painted with acrylic. Jim creates a handle with glass beads and leather. He completes the decoration of the piece with a leather dangle that features glass beads and a metal bell, imitation eagle feathers and a beaded buffalo amulet.
