Native American Carved Horse Dance Stick: Chief’s Song

Mnicoujou Lakota artist Jim Little Wounded carves the shape of a horse and then paints the image of a Chief singing his song of victory.

Jim paints the entire stick with acrylic paint and ink. He decorates the stick with glass beads, metal beads, real horse hair and imitation eagle feathers and imitation flicker feathers.
