Native American Carved Horse Dance Stick: Buffalo Warriors
Local Mnicoujou Lakota artist Jim Little Wounded carves this horse dance stick to commemorate Buffalo Warriors who are guided by the spirit of the Buffalo.
Jim carves the horse from wood and stains and paints with acrylic. He decorates the stick with real horse hair, imitation eagle feather and imitation red tail hawk feather. He wraps the tail and adds metal bells and glass beads.
