Description
Native American artist Jim Little Wounded, Minneconjou Lakota, carves the shape of a horse to commemorate a Buffalo Runner.
Jim carves the shape of the horse from wood, he stains and paints the wood with images of a running buffalo herd. He adds wrapped imitation red tail hawk feathers, a cluster feathers decorates the tail.
Jim finishes the decoration of this piece with glass beads, metal bells, real horse hair for the forelock, mane & tail, a buffalo tooth and red wool cloth.
The piece is signed by the artist.
