Native American Carved Dance Stick: Bear w Single Paw

Native American artist Jim Little Wounded, Mnicoujou Lakota Nation, paints this carved from wood Bear Dance Stick with acrylic.

Jim creates the eyes with glass beads, inserts tiny badger claws for sharp teeth and imitation (resin) claws for the paw.

Jim finishes the piece with a bear paw amulet, red wool cloth, large metal bells and brown feathers. The piece is signed by the artist.
