Original Ledger Art: Lakota Wicasa

"Lakota Wicasa," is a watercolor painting by Lakota ledger artist, Joe Pulliam. "Wicasa" is the Lakota word for "man" and the artist shows this Lakota man with his amazing regalia riding on his horse that is also adorned. The paper that the image is painted on is actually two sheets still attached at the center which came from an antique ledger book. The writing on the paper is from the year 1900. The piece has been beautifully custom framed using conservation materials.
