Native American Hand Beaded Green & White Possible Bag

The Plains Indians created possible bags to hold precious items that would be needed at a later time, storage was very important for special herbs and medicinal plants.

Brenda uses glass beads and sews them onto commercially tanned deer leather. She finishes the decoration of the piece with brass beads, spots, bells and cones. There is also an extra pop of color from the dyed yellow horse hair tufts.

The inside of the bag is lined with wool cloth and the sides of the bag are also finished with red wool cloth.
