Description

The Native American relationship with the Spirit world is explained by the Blackfoot myth about the origin of the sacred Medicine Lodge. Paul Goble has illustrated the print, "Sisters with Blankets," as part of that story.

One summer evening, two sisters took their blankets outside and fell asleep...one of the sisters married Morning Star, the son of Sun Man and Moon Woman. Image from the book, Star Boy.

Note: All Paul Goble poster prints are published to museum quality standards using fade-resistant inks on 80# Ikonofix Dull Cover acid-free paper stock. The paper contains 50% recycled material. Listed in the copy, under each poster, is the book in which the illustration originates.

Sisters with a Blanket

This sweet, rhythmic, mystical piece is a welcome addition from Prairie Edge. I loved the smaller size and the beautiful colors and story. I will also be purchasing a second one for... my sister!
