Good and evil, treachery and bravery, pride and wisdom all feature in L. Frank Baum's fairy tale set during the heyday of the buffalo on the Great Plains. Baum wrote the story in 1905 and uses his fable to show the dangers of greed, dirty tricks, and broken promises.
Local Lakota artist Donald F. Montileaux collaborated with the South Dakota State Historical Society by adding his wonderful illustrations to this magical and timeless tale. Each page has been enhanced with a colorful illustration to help bring this story to life.
THE ENCHANTED BUFFALO is the fifth book in the Prairie Tale Series.
