O.J. begins with domestic turkey feathers that have been dyed and clipped to look like eagle feathers. He wraps one end of the feathers with wool cloth, he then adds a feather fluff. He then tips the other end of the feather with rabbit fur and horse hair dangles.
The top flair of the headdress is made from a felt cap with feathers attached. The quilled head band is added and also features small blue glass beads. The quilled design is a hills design and the quills are natural or dyed with rite dye. Just above the band, there are brass bells attached and at the side of the band there are silk ribbons.
The trailer is added at the bottom of the headdress flair. The trailer is created using wool cloth that is edged with yellow cloth. The single trailer is down the center of the cloth. Also at the back of the flair, O.J. has added a balance created from a clipped imitation eagle feather.
