December 6th: What's Happening at Prairie Edge/Sioux Trading Post?

It's was another successful #SmallBusinessSaturday but instead of resting on our laurels we are staying prepared for all of your holiday shopping needs.

Our FineArt Gallery is hosting the Artist of the Black Hills Holiday Miniature Art Show - All mediums will be represented, photography, painting, sculptures, and more. Starting November 14  - January 1st.

Our Native American Gallery has decided to retire items at huge savings for the customer, so stop down, call us or send us an e-mail and the staff will be happy to help you obtain some of these great deals.

Prairie Edge Trading is going through the Holiday decorations and gifts, they also have a few items that are being sold off to make way for the new items we will be acquiring for 2017, in retail there really isn't a moment to spare you have to prepare for the next season. Some of the discounted items include clothing, glassware, jewelry and home decor.

The book and music store will be hosting author Delphine Red Shirt, she wrote a new book named "George Sword's Warrior Narratives: Compositional Process in Lakota Oral Tradition. She will be joining us from 2-4pm on Saturday, December 17. Anita and crew are selling off the collection of contemporary cd's and DVD's to make room for newer content, get them while supplies last.

Sioux Trading Post is ready for the busy gift giving season. Nancy has slashed prices on some beadwork and finished goods like blankets, purses, some beadwork jewelry, coffee mugs and more… she is also making room for next years newest items.

This year is also the 40th Anniversary of the Lakota Nation Invitational. This local event attracts basketball teams from 4 states and all across Indian Country you can hear the roar of the crowds and the anticipated excitement of your team winning. There are also knowledge bowls, a Lakota Language contest, kids art show, Pow Wow and more! We welcome all participants and say Good Luck to everyone!

One more thing, don't forget to sign up for our $1,000.00 gift card giveaway (available in-house only), the winner will be contacted on December 23rd.
